About the opportunity

An opportunity to join our growing team as an Environmental and Sustainability Manager based in Birmingham supporting a major infrastructure programme.

The role would suit someone who has recently finished a graduate development programme or has some experience but looking to take your career to the next level.

The role supports the senior Environmental and Sustainability Managers who are working on the programme. The role is accountable for supporting the management of the environmental aspects of the programme in accordance with the programme’s sustainability and environmental policies and requirements.

The role will assist the delivery project management, engineering teams and technical assurance teams in the above by providing environmental and sustainability advice and support.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and growing national and global community of practice who focus is on delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Essential:

  • A good degree qualification in a relevant environmental/natural science or engineering similar subject;

  • Understanding of sustainability or environmental management;

  • Strong data analysis and validation skills

  • Experience of report writing and data analysis

  • Strong communication and team skills

  • A focus and desire to work safely

Desirable:

  • Relevant experience of a similar or related role

  • Working towards chartered professional status (e.g. Chartered Environmentalist/Engineer/Scientist)

  • Recently completed a graduate development programme within the engineering and solutions sector

  • Experience of working within the infrastructure environment and/or multi-disciplinary engineering teams

  • An ability to work for short periods away from home office if required
