The Rail and Geotechnical Business unit consists of over 875 people, with people located in virtually every office within the UK. The rail part of the business includes Network Rail, TfL and HS2 amongst its biggest clients, with the geotechnical business serving virtually every operating unit within BIAF as well as cross line of activities into the nuclear and mining sectors.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced Project Manager to join our growing, world-class rail business. You will join and support our Birmingham team in projects and have the opportunity to develop your career and shape exciting projects, such as HS2, East Coast Power Supply upgrade 2, Western Rail Link To Heathrow and Asset Protection.
Taking the PM role in Rail projects would include the following activities:
Project management of multidisciplinary projects through several design stages.
Management of multi office set-up. This includes utilising our offices in other countries and different business units.
Managing client expectations and meeting their requirements.
Responsible for all project health and safety documentation.
Management of change to scope and budget/programme impacts
Responsible for the day to day management and delivery of projects to programme and budget.
Management of sub-contractors and all commercial activity ensuring complete understanding of the project requirements and contractual obligations
Working with strong Alliance behaviours and supporting and leading design teams with an interface with construction.
Upholding Jacobs core values, culture and processes.
Knowledge of the Rail industry, with project experience.
Strong communication and organisation skills.
Drive and determination to meet deadlines and for project success.
Strong commercial acumen.
- Project Management qualifications eg PRINCE2/APM
