We're looking for a Process Engineer in Boise, ID where you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations of selected design, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design for Process/Facility systems including waste streams, chemical distribution, bulk and specialty gases, ultra-pure water, pollution control, mechanical/process wet and dry piping systems (all systems).

  • Provide engineering required to produce drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards.

  • Provide engineering consulting associated with construction of industrial production facilities, semiconductor tool installations, Process and Mechanical Piping system design related to facility engineering.

  • Responsible for maintaining various administrative and engineering data bases in support of job tracking, engineering data, equipment facilitation, etc.

  • Specify critical components for design projects and is responsible for assuring designs meet all applicable codes and regulations. This requires continual review and analysis of new equipment, applications, and technology.

  • Perform field inspections of existing systems.

  • Possesses communication skills per the following;

  • Communicate scope requirements and project needs to the client and team members

  • When called upon, write tech memos to adequately update team members on new designs, and technologies that embrace safety and process improvement.

  • Serve as a lead engineer in small ($25,000) to medium ($4,000,000) projects.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related

  • Minimum 4 years of facilities-related engineering experience (some experience in semiconductor fab facilities is highly preferred). Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and design drawings; Extensive understanding of Chemistry as it relates to safety hazards, environmental impacts, and mitigation strategies within the semiconductor industry.

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facility design, supporting tool installation projects

  • PE, or the ability to obtain within 2-4 years.
