Our Boston, MA Systems and Technology group is looking to add a CADD Technician to their design team.
Primary job responsibilities will include:
Creation of CADD drawings, adhering to various client CAD standards.
Designing and modifying drawing backgrounds to include sites and buildings.
Design of Systems schematics and details that include LAN/WAN, video surveillance, access control, public address, ITS, and telephony; and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them.
Performs routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures.
Has moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
Some selection and application of established and specific procedures may be required.
Uses computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools.
Gathers information, attends site visits, makes studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal.
Coordinates design criteria with engineering group in accordance with contractual specifications.
Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience is required.
At least 3 years of AutoCAD CADD experience required.
Additional MicroStation CADD and/or Revit BIM experience a plus.
Ability to produce accurate, neat and effective drawings.
Ability to plan work to make optimum use of time.
