Along with requisite corporate support, independently build, manage and maintain the Boston based Federal Buildings and Design Practice to create a self-sustaining service line capable of all phases of federal project management from cultivation of new business through supervision of project design, build and final project completion.
As the Federal Design Architecture Lead– Boston the successful applicant will have the opportunity to utilize both his/her architectural and managerial skill sets to build a Federal service line and project team in Boston, MA. He/she will be expected to participate in all aspects of the service line from Design through construction, establish management protocols and maintain the highest standards. In addition, he/she will be required to cooperatively pursue new business while overseeing the successful execution of resulting government contracts and commitments. The successful applicant will be capable of simultaneously and successfully supervising fieldwork while satisfying client and team management duties:
Perform business development, networking and marketing activities related to securing clients and winning programs/projects within the specified market as required
Federal infrastructure contract bidding/RFI and contract negotiation
- Federal design requirements specific to secure facilities and anti-terrorism measures
Federal policies relevant to bidding, bid-revision, budget management and project execution
Senior team management with a proven ability to maintain his/her team’s dedication to purpose without sacrificing product quality or associate morale.
Supervise design exploration activities of others or lead project design teams
- Prepares client project presentations studies, and reports
Represents organization, with internal and external personnel, on significant matters
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required; MArch preferred.
Licensed as Registered Architect is required
Minimum of 15 years of experience producing construction document packages is required
LEED AP credentials is preferred
Ability to work cooperatively with ancillary corporate design teams
