Your Impact:
By joining us as a Geotechnical Engineer/Assistant Project Manager, you’ll perform a wide range of duties including leading geotechnical tasks, providing leadership to junior geotechnical staff, managing and performing field explorations, and working with senior engineers primarily on alternate delivery transportation projects. These projects will include both conventional design-bid-build projects, as well as design-build and public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
We’ll look to you to help in the development and implementation of geotechnical field exploration and laboratory testing programs, perform geotechnical analyses, prepare geotechnical data and design reports, develop geotechnical related specifications, and provide support during project construction. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to follow projects from concept development through the construction phase working independently and with our team of engineers.
You’ll help drive how we challenge the accepted when you mentor junior staff as part of a large interdisciplinary design team. Also, you’ll grow professionally when we have you interact with our existing and perspective clients and help advance the technical capabilities of the regional office and global geotechnical group.
Technically we’ll look to your expertise in the following....
• Exploration methods (soil and rock borings, test pits, CPT probes, seismic geophysical testing), geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and laboratory testing for soil (classification, strength, consolidation, and cyclic) and rock
• Inspection of deep foundations (drilled shafts and driven piles), tunnels, foundation subgrade, shallow foundations, subsurface explorations, and earth retaining structures
• Design of shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, above and below ground tanks, pipelines, embankment and cut slopes, and ground improvement
• Earthquake hazard evaluations, including liquefaction assessments, and site-specific ground response analyses
• Preparation of technical reports, data reports, and baseline reports
• Computer programs including SETTLE3D, GRLWEAP, LPILE, SLIDE or SLOPE, SHAFT, A-PILE, MATHCAD, FB-Multipier, PLAXIS, and FLAC

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering
• Professional geotechnical consulting experience with transportation, water, and energy facilities
• Substantial full time professional experience
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
