If you’re interested in a rewarding career working with the industry’s best and most innovative Lab Planning Architects and Designers, then Jacobs is where you belong. We are looking for a passionate and curious client-focused Lab Planning Architect to grow with our team. 

Working as a Lab Architectural Designer in our Boston, MA office. You’ll report to the Group Manager and work closely with the Director of Lab Design, Project Manager and Design/Technical staff to program, plan, design, document and administer the construction of lab projects. You will be part of a team to develop client presentations studies, and reports applying knowledge of lab planning, architectural design, construction detailing, and building codes. You will work collaboratively with other disciplines to create a unified design, preparing drawings and coordinating documents for the Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documents Phase of a project while conforming to budgets and schedules.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s in Architecture from an accredited program

  • Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to travel to Boston area job sites

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Architectural registration

  • Familiarity with building code and lab code requirements.
