Reporting directly to the Group Manager, this individual will work closely with the Director of Lab Design and Project Manager and Design/Technical staff to program, plan, design, document and administer the construction of lab projects for clients. Apply knowledge of architectural and Lab design, construction detailing, construction procedures, building codes, as well as building materials
Direct and coordinate activities of multi-discipline design teams engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for all phases of projects
Assist in preparing project budget, design and documentation schedule
Preparation of client presentations studies, and reports
Interact with client, client representatives and contractors regarding the technical aspects of project design
Conduct periodic on-site observation of design work during construction.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited University is required.
Architectural registration is preferred
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in is required
Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office and Adobe suite is required
Extensive experience with building code is required
Strong organizational, communications (verbal, written as well as hand sketching) skills, and leadership abilities are required
Participation in professional organizations is preferred
