We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Process Architecture Professional to grow with our team within the Life Sciences Group.
You will design state-of-the-art life science and biopharm facilities (including Drug Substance, Drug Product Manufacturing, Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Advanced Medicinal Therapeutic Products (ATMP), Plasma Derived Medicinal Products (PDMP) and new modalities).
As a Process/ Project Architect Professional, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, and architectural design for project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Project/ Process Architect Professional in Boston, MA for the New England Operations who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. The candidate will lead architecture teams from Concept Design through Construction as well as provide technical solutions to our Jacobs Architecture Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as they develop feasibility studies, concept designs and master plans. The candidate will report to Director of Operations and support the growth of Jacobs New England Life Sciences market. We are looking for an individual proficient with ‘seller-doer’ philosophy and shall support in developing new client relationships with the emphasis on maintaining client expectation and ensuring client satisfaction during project execution.
We are looking for a person who has a firm grasp of building codes, and construction detailing, as well as excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. An individual able to take design concepts and follow through with the necessary construction documentation, as well as coordinate with in-house engineering disciplines. The candidate shall have expert understanding of building materials and systems, methods of construction and the integration of building services, structure, building core and envelope elements. The individual will be responsible for project technical quality and timely delivery of architecture deliverables.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited Architecture school
• 10 +years of applicable professional experience, ideally in Life Sciences industry
• Licensed Architect in the US
• Experience in Sketch-Up and 3D visualization tools such as Enscape Render preferably
• Technical knowledge with a solid understanding of construction detailing and constructability as well as specifications.
• Knowledge of building codes and other regulatory requirements. Exceptional knowledge in the design of FDA-regulated pharmaceutical and bio-tech manufacturing and laboratory facilities
• Up to 30% travel to project meetings and job sites as necessary.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Master’s degree in Architecture, not required
• Ability to contribute to the development of new ideas, techniques and standards.
• ISPE Membership
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint and Bluebeam Revu.
