Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we’re developing and implementing innovative solutions to move people and goods safely and efficiently across the globe. As part of this vision, Jacobs is leading the charge on transportation decarbonization.

Large-scale adoption of zero-emissions technology is still in its early stages and presents exciting technical, organizational, and logistical challenges. Zero-emissions fleet adoption will require detailed planning, multi-disciplinary collaboration, significant financial resources, and motivated staff to support successful solutioning. We’re expanding our team to tackle the complexities of transportation decarbonization for some of the largest fleet operators in the world and we’re looking for a Program Manager that is passionate about decarbonization; ready to bring their solutions and perspective to the table; and can effectively and efficiently deliver.

By joining us as a Program Manager, you’ll be an integral position within Jacobs’ People & Places Solutions organization in the Northeast United States, focusing on acquiring and delivering major transportation decarbonization programs in the Boston and New England area. As a Program Manager, you’ll work closely with operations and sales functions as well as regional leadership to expand our zero-emissions transportation portfolio. You will hold client-facing roles of increasing responsibility from the oversight of a single mega project to the delivery of complex infrastructure programs related to zero-emissions transportation.

We’ll ask you to collaborate with Client Account Managers and regional leaders on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm. This will include extensive client dialogue, discussions with partner firms, team building, and development of differentiating strategies. You’ll utilize your expertise and knowledge of project vs. programmatic delivery.

There will be continued expectations on full-time, client-facing delivery in leadership roles on large programs responsible for overall work progress, technical performance and client as well as stakeholder satisfaction. We’ll ask you to demonstrate your ability to anticipate challenges and manage “up and out” while overseeing large teams responsible for the daily details of delivery.

Your program delivery duties/responsibilities will include:

• Engage in the critical thinking to develop program governance and infrastructure, including the systems, processes and tools for cost and schedule management, risk and change management, reporting and communication, performance monitoring, program standards, procurement, and document and IT management.

• Manage and oversee the consistent, successful delivery of projects within the program while ensuring all identified commitments, performance metrics, and scope requirements are achieved

• Communicate critical program insight such as earned value performance, progress on key performance indicators (KPI), or issues related to procurement, supply chain management, design and construction or stakeholder pressure to the most senior members of the client organization or to public boards or elected officials.

At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.

If you are excited by the possibilities of a zero-emissions future, motivated by an opportunity, and enjoy working with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to develop creative solutions, Jacobs is the place for you. Come join our growing team to face the future of transportation!
