If so, we have opportunities for entry level positions in our Signal and Train Control group. You will be joining a national group of seasoned Signal Engineers where you will be involved in exciting rail transit projects throughout the US as well as worldwide opportunities. We’ll challenge you to work with the Signal Lead performing signal design for freight rail, commuter rail and light rail transit system projects. You will be part of a multidisciplinary local and national rail team. You’ll be asked to perform CAD design of signal block systems, signal circuits, signal layouts, grade crossing warning system designs, grade crossing gate and flashing light layouts, and all elements related to signal engineering.
You will coordinate with the associated engineering disciplines including track, civil, traffic, communications electrical, facilities, and architects to ensure that the signal work is integrated safely into the overall project. All the while working with clients such as State Transit Agencies, freight operators, and 3rd party consultants and contractors to deliver high quality projects.
You will help us perform interdisciplinary reviews to verify coordination with associated disciplines for each submittal package. You will be asked to participate in meetings with other design disciplines, contractors, client staff. You will help the Signal Leads prepare presentations and assist them with preparation for public hearings or other necessary reviews relative to our projects.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Computer Aided Design experience, MicroStation (preferred) or AutoCAD;
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical preferred) or significant industry experience is required;
Willingness to acquire a Professional Engineers License;
Experience with transit/railroad signal design, or have performed associated signal work for a railroad;
Experience with grade crossing warning systems control design and engineering;
Experience with or understanding of Microprocessor based signal systems design, programming; testing and implementation. Simulation experience is a plus;
Knowledge and understanding Federal Rail Administration Rules and Regulations for Signal Systems and Positive Train Control systems.
