We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in our New England region, who is excited about solving the most complex electrical systems issues for our clients. You’ll nurture and maintain strong client relationships in and for execution of projects, and as appropriate, support specific sales, proposal, and project efforts.

Join us and you will be the lead design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for electrical systems. You’ll oversee engineering and design for facility powered distribution systems (480v and above), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety systems, and fire alarm and detection systems. You will also help low voltage telecommunications and security infrastructure systems in some of the most complex facilities in the region. Some of your design work will occasionally include medium voltage (3.8kV) systems and Motor Control Centers in water facilities and retrofitting of existing switchboards. You’ll oversee designer work, provide team technical leadership, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process.

Be ready to interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and the other members of your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. Building and infrastructure project types will include transportation, water /wastewater treatment, industrial, life & science, commercial, institutional, and educational facilities.

This position give opportunity to provide strong technical proactive mentorship to junior and intermediate electrical engineers and technologists.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Senior level design experience in designing electrical systems.

  • Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards

Ideally, you’ll also have the following skills and experience:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • A strong track record of collaboration with New England States and municipal stakeholders (i.e. MBTA, MPA, DOT, DCAMM, etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge of Short Circuit Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Analysis utilizing SKM or eTap

  • Working knowledge of Auto Desk CAD, Revit or BIM software, and BlueBeam
