Wages –$33.28 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Roof Repairer to join our team. This position performs roofig duties necessary to maintain industrial building roofs and new installations of various types and systems, at Naval Base Kitsap near Silverdale & Poulsbo. Regular hours Monday-Friday with overtime available. Rewarding work with purpose – over 50 employees with 20+ years longevity proves it!

Summary/General Description of Job:
The Roof Repairer covers the roofs of structures with shingles, slate, asphalt or other related materials. The incumbent will also plan and estimate the tasking and material selection from blueprints and drawings, layout and job phasing.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Performs the roofing duties necessary to maintain industrial building roofs and new installations of various types and systems.
Operates equipment associated with the above processes with tar kettles, roof sweepers, cutting machines, torch equipment, standard measuring and testing equipment, power tools and associated roofer’s hand tools.
Plans and estimates tasking, material selection from blueprints and drawings, lay out and job phasing.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment. Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable.

The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the roofing field.
Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
Having the ability to work well under pressure.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory
Four years’ experience or equivalent in the roofing trade and thorough knowledge of roofing materials.
Will be required to be trained in roof safety of fall arrest and fall restraint procedures including various equipment use and installation of same.
Must be familiar with the products and applications associated with the different types of roofing materials to include the following: Built up roofs, E.D.P.M., Torch down, metal roofs, tile, and composition.
Must be able to work at heights.
Must have and maintain hand tools of the trade to perform the normal work of the classifications.
Must possess and maintain valid Washington State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
