Jacobs are recruiting for a Project Controls Lead to Join our EDF framework delivery team. The Generation Services business team supports our key client EDF Nuclear Generation with regards their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Project Management Resource team which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be part of a large client lead team at EDF’s Hinkley Point B Power Station location and this role will support multiple projects within their UK wide project portfolio with a focus on nuclear defueling and nuclear decommissioning.
Project Controls Leads are accountable to the client Project Controls Group Head, PPM and/or Operations Manager, to ensuring the planning, estimating, monitoring and control of a specified project, work portfolio or programme is carried out professionally and in compliance with all client requirements. This role has no direct reports.
The role will be based at Hinkley Point B Power Station. In this role you will report to the Jacobs Operations Manager, but be accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
Everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
Strong communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focussed tempered with a team-centred approach.
Everyone working in our team will need the ability to obtain CTC or SC level UK security clearance.

• Typically, Degree qualified (HNC Minimum) or equivalent preferred in an appropriate numerate discipline and MACostE is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of Cost, Schedule, and all other aspects of project Controls.
• Appreciation of engineering, licensing, procurement, construction, installation/commissioning processes.
• Proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming, change and risk tools.
• Experience of supervising teams of Planning Engineers and Cost Engineers.
• Proficient in the application of Earned Value concepts and tools.
• Ability to communicate well at all levels of management and can produce monthly reports, to an agreed reporting cycle, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
• Have a detailed understanding of planning methodologies and techniques and a good working knowledge of the latest Primavera Planning Software Tool.
• Have a detailed understanding of Cost Management methodologies and techniques and a good working knowledge of relevant proprietary systems and tools.
• Experience to oversee the production and control of baselined, fully logic linked, cost and resource loaded plans, with appropriate milestones, for all work within the portfolio utilising approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
