About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Controls Manager who has a passion to work with our clients team within the Hinkley Point C Project (HPC), under the direction and leadership of the PCM Lead, to lead the development, implementation, use and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes within the Transverse Programme or Area. This will include oversight of day-to-day management, staffing, and the implementation of Integrated Project Controls standards and processes.
To be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of all Integrated Project Controls activities associated with the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of the Programme work scope within safety, quality, time and cost milestones.
It is the overarching objective of the Integrated Project Controls (IPC) Function to act as a centre of excellence: the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the HPC Project.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Work with all Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls and Delivery Integration to ensure alignment and consistency of data
Engage with the PCM Lead and Head of Integrated Project Controls to understand and resolve issues and concerns affecting Project Controls as a whole
Liaise with other key interfaces to identify and understand issues and concerns affecting Programme performance
Act as the main interface between Integrated Project Controls for the Programme and internal stakeholders, including Integrated Project Controls Discipline Managers, Project Support Functions, other Programmes, senior management and stakeholders, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork
Accountable for ensuring that earned value techniques and indices are correctly implemented in the Programme
Support the Schedule Manager and Team to ensure the accurate representation of the Programme within the baseline Integrated Work Schedule (IWS)
Accountable for the accurate maintenance all cost data for the Programme within the cost control system (EcoSys), including monthly Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP) calculations
Lead and ensure the accurate identification and assessment of all portfolio level risks and opportunities within the Programme, including associated schedule and cost impact
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Minimum of a degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or other related field
Substantial experience in a Project Controls environment in a Lead role within an Estimating, Cost, Risk or Scheduling team on a major construction project or highly regulated environment/project
Substantial proven leadership experience
Experience of working in a large integrated team over the full lifecycle of a project
Extensive experience in ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility in a regulated environment
Experience in the use of industry-standard software, such as CostOS, Primavera P6, EcoSys and ARM
Experience in planning and delivering major infrastructure development programmes
