About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The Project Office Manager reports to the Quality Director so is responsible for aggregating complex information form the team and be able to summarise performance and risk at an Executive level. The Project Office Manager is responsible for managing the team to produce management information across the Transverse Programmes and Areas. To perform this the Project Office Manager must set and maintain boundaries between the Quality Department and the wider Delivery Directorate. Key responsibilities will be:
Provide leadership to a team of staff and contractors to provide a consistent service to the Department and the Delivery Directorate.
Ensure Department finances are well governed and risk and opportunity recorded and managed within the respective Branches of the Department.
Ensure the Department reporting solution is developed and maintained integrating single sources of project truth.
Provision of ONR engagement services for the Quality Department interactions including Level 4 and Level 3 Reporting and Regulatory Issue tracking.
Quarterly reporting against: Business Plan and Group Reporting.
Ensuring monthly provision of: Project Review Report (reviewed with the Quality Director, GenCo Data Report and CIP – Company Incentive Performance.
Department lead for Communications Management and the Supply Chain.
Develop, maintain and continuously improve processes, procedures, templates and guidance in support of efficient execution of the scope.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Experience in project management with extensive experience in large and complex projects.
Worked within a regulatory environment, e.g. aerospace, medical or rail.
Possess a recognised Project Management qualification and accreditation (e.g.APM / PRINCE2).
Experience of interfacing with project teams and with supply chain organisations.
Able to be flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative.
Proven track record of leading teams to deliver results.
Experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.
Leadership experience working in a management reporting environment within relevant safety critical industry.
Experience of interacting with industry regulators.
