About the Opportunity
Oversight and coordination of the timely collection from origin, loading, inbound delivery and offloading of categorised project plant equipment to the agreed project location.
Proactive troubleshooting transport issues with project team, service suppliers and equipment manufacturers and representing the function at internal and external meetings. .
Ensuring shipping and transportation by supplier (DDP contracts) is well planned and managed.
Monitoring cost effectiveness and performance of any project service suppliers relating to logistics scope, freight bookings, plant hire, movement & temporary storage etc.
Supporting programme teams by advising best practice and methods applicable to future transport arrangements for their contracts.
Determining the most appropriate shipping method, depending on the nature of cargo, and required delivery time, and instructing suppliers accordingly.
Development and implementation of any required logistics strategies, plan, or process where perceived gaps in arrangements exist.
Attendance and reporting shipment status at Logistics Review meetings with other key stakeholders.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Demonstrable knowledge and background in international freight and transport.
Knowledge of the freight types, customs, loading/lifting essential
Requirement - Extensive shipping industry experience at major multinationals.
Previous experience in mega scale international Energy projects.
Demonstrable track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
Flexibility to travel as and when necessary to meet the needs of NNB Gen Co Ltd.
Previous experience on Capital Works projects for Process Plants, preferably from Power, Chemical or Oil and Gas industries.
Relevant College/University education degree, or suitable experience
To work and perform under pressure
Skilled at interfacing and operating in a large corporate environment.
Excellent communication skills and be able to clearly and concisely get their point across
Integrity - honourable, trustworthy, fair, and honest - respecting confidentiality.
Impact - able to get results and make things happen with the ability to influence at a senior level internally and externally.
To be able to work decisively (within their remit) and effectively without continual intervention from supervisor.
