About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

We are currently looking for a Work Management Engineer to deliver commissioning/pre-operations (Comm-op’s) on the Hinkley Point C project. The Work Management team will grow and evolve to support the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Power Plant to be constructed, commissioned, operated safely and effectively within the UK regulatory framework.

The successful individual will be required to assist in the development and implementation of Work Management processes and tools. Ensuring that the development and execution of work management procedures and arrangements are adequate to support each HPC milestones. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Work closely with the commissioning team to improve the efficient production of both team’s processes and deliverables.

  • Specify Commissioning work order cards to suit the work within commissioning.

  • Resolve Open points problems by liaising and discussing with Stake holders.

  • An Active member of the OCC team, attend meetings as required to the role.

  • Support the development of the operational stations routine maintenance into the Enterprise Asset Management System.

  • Work closely with the Equipment Reliability team to understand and produce the routine maintenance requirements for systems on the operational station.

  • Be involved and provide input into the development of the Enterprise Asset Management tool.

  • Provide input into the development of standards, procedures and arrangements which support safe and reliable operation and maintenance activities in line with WANO AP928 document.

  • Support the development and delivery of Work Management, Planning processes and procedures.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Science and/or engineering background with relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent.

  • Experience in operating key asset management tools e.g. Asset Suite (Asset Management System), data reporting tools and Microsoft applications.

  • Knowledge of using / writing maintenance instructions in a regulated industrial environment.

  • Experience with performing / writing risk assessments and familiarity with the APSA (Authorised Persons Safety Assessment) process.

  • Familiarity with Maintenance Manuals and System Design Manuals including Engineering Drawings.
