About the Opportunity
Support is required to support the Civils Team Lead, the activities aim at modifying and adapting the design received from the Back Office, substantiating the adapted design of the reinforced concrete structures on the Hinkley Point C Project. Supporting the Client and the Clients Tier 1 Civils Contractor.
The Civil Design is made on TEKLA, and used as a deliverable directly for construction activities for different tasks.
Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data.
Modifying reinforced concrete structure designs compliant with the ETC-C, other relevant codes,
Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the CW design,
Support/ reviewing with the design in the preparation of the design drawings/models modified.
Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
Liaising with colleagues in Edvance Paris (Malakoff) or Bristol.
Liaise with subject matter experts.
Building layout teams (JDO-DT) (Site)
Piping layout team (JDO-DT) (Site)
Civils team (Edvance Paris, and Edvance UK Bristol)
Client (EDF HPC Site)
Tier 1 contractor (BYLOR)
The activities will be performed on HPC site, in JDO offices, performed within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment,
with a high expectation on delivery time, schedule, safety and nuclear safety.
The estiamted duration of this role will be 9 months, including 6 agreed months and 3 optional months.

Note2: Based on our Client office Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Note3: Travel and Subsistence as follow:
Site based role, > 3 months, individual lives in Residency Zone (30min from Park and Ride) – member of staff receives £100.00 per working day subject to tax (e.g. 5 days per week) via their employer
Site based role, > 3 months, individual lives outside of the Residency Zone (over 30min from Park and Ride) – member of staff receives £100.00 per day subject to tax (e.g. for each day on site) via their employer as long as they stay overnight in the residency zone
Note4: Service Incentive - on completion of 12-month continuous service in post – there is a salary uplift of 5% paid

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Knowledge of Structural Civil Work, Civil Design and Construction
Nuclear civil work OR complex structures
Experience in design of concrete structure
Detailed design or conceptual design in an office or on a civil construction site
Experience on project dealing with material interfaces
TEKLA and PDMS Software experience
Experience with on site design support
Experience on wide projects
