Your Impact:

About the opportunity:

This is a part-time role - 3 days (24 hours) per week

This role is to provide direct support to the Framework Manager and Deputy Framework Manager for a large integrated team seconded into a client team focused on providing high quality design, engineering knowledge & expertise as part of the Responsible Designer for the Nuclear Island on one of the UK’s first new Nuclear Power Station Build Projects in a generation.

The post holder will demonstrate:

  • Work effectively with & maintain a strong relationship with key internal & external stakeholders.

  • Compliance with health, safety, environment & other statutory requirements relevant to this role.

  • Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Core apps and services knowledge it is needed).

  • Fluent English (written & verbal).

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the resourcing process, including the preparation of CV submissions, commercial offers, keeping the Contract Document Routing System up to date, arranging interviews, security clearance application.

  • Assist with the on-boarding process of new starters.

  • Arrange new starter training sessions and assist with progressing training & development plans for existing team.

  • Assistant the Deputy Framework Manager with general day to day activities.

  • Schedule meetings and other similar activities

  • Preparing business correspondence typically using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Assist with framework monthly reporting preparation.

  • Update framework new starters guide, org chart, etc

  • Maintain accurate & timely records (systems, databases, spreadsheets).

  • Handling of confidential documentation with appropriate care.

  • Prepare & disseminate information out to the business.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements to procedures, processes, systems.

  • Performing multi-faceted general office support.

  • Ability to interact professionally with supply chain, client stakeholders and key internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to help preparing, organising, and hosting social and professional development events for embedded team.

  • Jacobs Framework Manager & Deputy & interaction with the Client HR team and Discipline Leads

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • “A” Level or degree qualified, with relevant industry experience gained from working within a similar role

  • Experienced administration assistant / project support, preferably from within an engineering environment

  • Experience in resourcing & recruiting personnel & associated administration

  • Excellent planning & organisational skills

  • Delivery of a high-quality service with a focus on attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task & prioritise work accordingly

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, ever changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal & external stakeholders

  • A team player, self-motivated & able to work on own initiative

  • MS Office

  • English fluent (written & verbal)

Desirable:

  • Experience of supporting Project teams

  • Experience of working within in an Engineering environment

  • Knowledge of French language and/or working with different cultures

Software & Tools :

  • MS Office & Outlook
