About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer supporting the implementation of I&C specification for one of the system design teams ultimately ensuring the delivery of design documentation and work packages in time and quality. The role will require producing Instrumentation and Control (I&C) specifications in close collaboration with process design studies in the scope for Hinkley Point C, this will include the production of documentation required to purchase, commission, and operate the systems, including related communication with interfacing entities. Key aspects of the role are:
Ensure documents produced are in line with applicable engineering guidance
Organize and contribute to Kick off meeting, pre-job briefs and post-job debriefs
Ensure services are provided in line with relevant engineering guidelines
Contribution to the elaboration or modification of test procedures to verify the functions implemented in the logic performs as expected
Handle internal tools for I&C logic and human machine interface specification as well as testing the specified logic against test procedures
Perform peer checks and potentially based on seniority technical checks
Ensure documentation is in line with quality process
Provide the process team with technical support and guidance on processes related to I&C activities
Ensure configuration management tool update
Here’s What You’ll Need:
I&C, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Instrumentation and Control design
Knowledge of the EPR I&C design principles and I&C platforms
Experience of producing design documentation and Test Specifications
Proactive and confident in communicating with others, particularly those based in remote offices including France and Germany.
Continuously looking for opportunities to improve quality of engineering studies and the subsequent documentation produced
Ability to productively coach and support others with the team, prioritise and manage numerous stakeholders
