Key Responsibilities include:

• Support the MoD approvals process, coordinating project management artefacts for submissions, including production as necessary.

• Interrogation of supplier's data and documentation.

• Support the integration of supplier and client schedules into programme level schedules to enable understanding of critical paths and associated delivery risks and opportunities.

• Support to development of PCT envelope for approvals/gate submissions and funding requests.

• Support MoD Project Controls in Portfolio forecasting and control within PCT envelope.

• Provide Oversight of individual project schedules ensuring schedules are robust, underpinned, deliverable and appropriate for the phase of the project.

• Review supplier contract reports and support performance analysis.

• Input to Schedule risk analysis.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Essential

• Project management professional with project planning and controls background.

• SC Clearance. In addition, specific NP briefing & local security briefing will be required.

• British National.

• Experience of MoD/Government Projects.

• Understanding of MoD project lifecyle, MoD approvals process steps and alignment with common (eg RIBA) project phases for infrastructure projects.

• Experience of applying common planning techniques through design, construction, commissioning phases.

• Experience of coordinating project managers, engineers, client team and contractors in the development of project schedules.

• Experience of working at a senior level within a client organisation. Ability to work in a collaborative manner whilst remaining robust in a challenging commercial environment.

• Primavera P6. Basic understanding

• Currently working from home; however there will be a requirement to go to Bristol Abbeywood (primary location), requires some travel to Plymouth Devonport.

Desirable

• Experience of Marine Infrastructure Projects – Major civils/structures, Docks, Berths, Buildings, Cranes, Services etc.

• NEC contract experience

• Understanding of UK Nuclear Regulatory framework and its impact on planning norms.

• Experience of evaluating contractor tenders for major civils/structural work, marine infrastructure, projects on nuclear licensed sites

• Understanding of SDA/DE&S PM toolkit.
