If so, we have a number of immediate opportunities for eloquent, persuasive Proposal Writers to join our growing Europe team within the People & Places Solutions Line of Business. We have openings within Growth and Sales team (strategic pursuits across all market sectors) and our Cities and Places business. Your enthusiasm for working as part of a driven and disciplined team, with a motivation to overcome hurdles and obstacles to find solutions is essential to be successful in this role. Our team are agile, driven, highly organised, and resilient individuals.

You will be responsible for converting compelling sales messages into winning tender submissions on some of the Europe region’s most strategic pursuits, big and small. Working with sales and operations colleagues across market sectors, this role requires you to be articulate and have excellent written communication skills, as well as possessing the drive and diligence to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.

The successful candidate will deliver the following responsibilities:

  • Undertake research, interview colleagues to extract relevant information, and then own and develop compliant and compelling content

  • Rewrite / edit proposal responses and other sales collateral from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, delivery, commercial, legal and marketing.

  • Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet / exceed the client’s requirements.

  • Deliver completed written proposal responses against agreed proposal deadlines, escalating issues as required.

  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant.

  • Coach sales and subject matter teams in writing best practice.

  • Identify, share, and apply lessons learnt to drive continual improvement

  • Develop thought leadership papers, capability statements, web-based content, etc, as required

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Strong academic background (degree level) in English Language/Creative Writing

  • Proven work experience in writing content within a complex business environment (e.g. journalism, proposal writing, etc.).

  • Experienced at working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to grasp complex technical/engineering concepts and make them easily understandable in simple, concise language and in pictures

  • Good researching skills

  • Forensic attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills

  • Excellent time management / prioritisation skills

  • Have personal resilience to working to strict timelines and with different styles of leadership

  • Demonstrates collaborative behaviours and good interpersonal skills. An ability to influence at a senior level.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and use of Adobe software applications (desirable)
