About the opportunity:
The Quality Assurance lead as an embedded key member of the Programme senior leadership team, supports the Programme Director in discharging their responsibilities against the project delivery principles: Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost. The key objective is to ensure that quality is delivered within the HPC Programme and by the Programme’s supply chain, consistently (safely, efficiently, and right first time) compliant with the project quality arrangements.
As the leader of programme quality delivery, the QAL will directly support, influence, direct and instruct as appropriate to ensure that Programme’s quality needs are defined, communicated, and delivered both within the Programme and the supporting departments.
The Quality Assurance lead is responsible for ensuring that all the Quality needs and milestones of a dedicated Programme are performed through the Quality Department. The post holder will work according to processes and procedures defined by the Quality Department, in a context and direction set by the Programme Director.

Significant experience in delivering major projects, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with significant focus on project quality, and with a specific engineering discipline expert knowledge.
Experience and skills in leading a team of Quality professionals
Position requires a dynamic individual who is a team player and has a solid understanding of the quality processes in major projects across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Strong awareness of working in an international quality environment.
Significant experience in ensuring compliance with National and International standards such as
GSR Part 2and ISO 9001 and an understanding of nuclear site licence conditions.
The ability to influence the Quality aspects of complex contractor and subcontractor supplier relationships nationally and internationally.
Should possess a recognised Quality qualification and accreditation.
Fluent in English language, preferably with some French language skills.
Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative across a broad range of issues to drive performance against all dimensions of the quality systems.
