Description

This is a newly created opportunity for the right person to lead Jacobs to growth in the Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) markets across the Middle East.

This position is responsible for providing Business Development, Delivery, Leadership and Management of Operations, Management and Field Services which interface directly with key clients in the Middle East region. In addition, develops and delivers OMFS services reporting directly to the OMFS Operations Director for the Asia Pacific Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Provides client and business development leadership for Jacobs and specifically OMFS based service offerings;

  • Leads, prepares and assists in the preparation of client’s AM/O&M reports;

  • Prepares, consults on and reviews operations and maintenance cost and staffing estimates;

  • Supports the development and delivery of training solutions.

  • Establishes customer account management plans to build and sustain effective client relationships and growth.

  • Builds relationships with a broad range of clients over time and assists other team members by introducing our clients to our client centric approach.

  • Takes a lead on complex, high value proposals and opportunity qualifications by driving and coordinating input from across markets to develop a compelling differentiated value proposition.

  • Identifies and sells new work to new or existing clients.

  • Is responsible for developing the strategy to take a particular service offering to market.

  • Is recognised in the relevant industry and actively participates in industry networks and committees.

Operations

  • Develop and deliver innovative solutions to clients

  • Develop and implement Whole of Life AM/O&M frameworks, strategies, plans, procedures and processes and recommend changes where needed;

  • Develop short and long-term maintenance strategies with CAPEX and OPEX analyses and forecasts;

  • Planning & Scheduling

  • Evaluates facilities operations and management and suggests improvements to operations personnel and/or design engineers

  • Maintains technical skills at the highest level and remains informed of the latest developments in the field

Leadership

  • Acts as a constructive and thoughtful leader and coach by participating in relevant culture and engagement initiatives, developing realistic actions that will increase own leadership styles contributes to building and enhancing Jacobs culture.

  • Motivates and inspires others within project teams and service lines, investing time in people by acting as a mentor across the wider Jacobs business.

  • Enables career progression for high-potential people by identifying development needs and providing guidance and knowledge to assist those people to further develop their skill set.

  • Leadership coaching/training

Person requirements:

  • Engineering BS/BA or BENG/MSc;

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations and O&M Partnerships;

  • Experience of Design, Build, Operate (DBO) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) contracting;

  • Developed client network in the Middle East region

  • Demonstrable reputation as a key contributor to the Operations Management sector in the Middle East
