Jacobs is looking for a talented Computational Structural Designer to join our Cities and Places Structural team in Dubai. You will be given the opportunity to review and provide solutions on challenging structural design concepts, whilst also providing input on computational design implementation workflows. In addition, you will also meet the following requirements:-

  • Provide technical support and training to team members as needed on the Computational Design and project-specific Workflow.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on computational design implementation workflows.

  • Communicate design concepts and solutions to the design teams and other stakeholders.

  • Create and manage digital models and parametric scripts to support decision-making throughout the design process.

  • Validate Computational design models to accommodate BEP requirements.

  • Investigate the latest industry tools and methodologies for automation and design optimization.

  • Conduct research to enable and support projects through computational design technologies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience working on computational design and delivery of notable projects with renowned design consultancy practices.

  • Expert knowledge of BIM process and Revit.

  • Expert knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper Scripting and Rhino inside Revit is a must.

  • Ability to write scripts and algorithms to automate design tasks.

  • Experience in understanding and handling complex geometries is a must.

  • Expert knowledge of Rhino Inside Revit is a must.

  • Familiarity with Structural design software, tools and CSI API Knowledge (SAP, ETABS).

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C#.

  • Knowledge of building information modelling (BIM) Standards.
