Our Piping Designer position provides you the opportunity to work with and develop quality pipe design for Jacobs and our clients. You will be responsible for delivering quality design solutions that meet our client and project specifications while working within a multidiscipline engineering team. You should be a self-motivated professional designer with a successful 5 year track record in a piping design position, who has experience working with 3D design software.

  • Prepare piping drawings including P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, isometrics and general arrangement drawings using 2D & 3D CAD Software

  • Work with senior designers throughout the design development

  • Work with Mechanical and Pipeline Engineers developing detail design drawings Interface between disciplines such as Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil and Structural

  • Prepare drawing/equipment/line/valve/lists

  • Update drawings as required during the design process, ensuring they are checked, approved and filed in accordance with the relevant quality system procedure

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma in Piping Design/Drafting 5 years of experience

  • Familiar with national and local mechanical/piping design codes and standards

  • Working knowledge of Cadworx is an asset
