We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Equipment Buyer - Design Build Water to grow with our team.

As a Procurement Professional, you’ll provide Supply Management services to make sure that the program’s goods and services; including purchasing and subcontracting, meet project schedules and expectations.

Your responsabilities will include:

  • Subcontracting assignments typically will consist of obtaining equipment (both simple and complex) as well as professional or technical services as part of a major construction project.

  • Utilizing established policies, procedures, systems, and tools

  • Advising to stakeholders how to create requisitions and helps them in understanding the overall Procurement process

  • Reviewing invoices related with subcontracts and ensuring that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the agreement

  • Evaluating facts surrounding purchase subcontract-related problem areas and applying remedies to resolve it

  • Maintaining all procurement documentation in a designated repository

  • Identifying and advising management of procurement related risks.

  • Preparing bidder lists, qualifying bidders, preparing requests for quotation/proposal, and conducting bid evaluations.

  • Recommending source selections, leading purchase order negotiations

  • Ensuring applicable prime contract flow-downs are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts

  • Administering procurement agreements and changing orders (modifications).

  • Working under moderate to minimal supervision. Supervising the work of procurement support personnel who assist with the purchasing activities.

  • Coordinating with project or departmental personnel in performance of the subcontracting activities.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Understanding of major technical, organizational, managerial and business issues related to procurement management. Extensive knowledge of commercial procurement laws and standards as they relate to Jacobs operations management and project delivery. Strong understanding of Construction subcontracting.

  • Good understanding of project delivery processes (i.e., purchasing and subcontracting) and their relationship to supply management delivery.

  • Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to effectively author contractual commitment documents, as well as internal and external communications. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and interact with operations, project, and construction managers.

  • Extensive knowledge of of the different supply Management softwares, electronic mail, and standard desktop softwares.

  • Bachelors degree or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree

  • Experience in supply management or related fields in the EPCM industry
