Jacobs is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join our project Procurement & Contracts Management team on executing a large industrial project in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.
Your role will include:
Effectively and efficiently managing a portfolio of construction and high value long-lead equipment installation contracts
Effectively supervising and mitigating change activity to assure adequate protection of the company and client
Fulfilling contract management requirements during project performance
Performing contract administrative activities in a timely, accurate and adequate manner
Identifying problems and trends, reporting status, and performing corrective action in a timely, accurate and adequate manner
Implementing and supporting Contract Management programs and procedures
Working with project personnel to plan and support Procurement and Contract Management execution of the project
Coordinating and communicating internally with Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, HSE, Finance, and Quality, as well as externally with the Client and subcontractors, during all phases of project execution
Negotiating in a timely, accurate and adequate manner
Effectively executing company policies and procedures relating to construction contract management
Reports to Procurement Manager
Here’s what you’ll need :
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Contracts Management, specifically construction and long lead, high risk contracts
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills required
BA or BS, or equal, preferred
SCMP, CPP, or other professional procurement designation preferred
