When it comes to environmental solutions, we’re passionate about cleaning up our communities today to improve our tomorrow. We’re looking for a Civil / Environmental Engineer to support innovative projects.

Working remotely in Calgary, you’ll manage environmental projects for municipal and private clients. You’ll develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive business through proposals, networking, and sole source opportunities in Western Canada. You’ll also connect with other Jacobs’s practitioners throughout the US and Canada regional markets, to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably civil or environmental) or a related field

  • Design related experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or comparable licensure

  • Project management experience

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • MS degree in an engineering or related discipline

  • Scope and proposal development experience

  • A demonstrated track record in client relations and in positioning for, winning, and delivering successful environmental projects in Western Canada

  • Experience with solid waste facility design, transfer stations, composting, waste collection and processing, sustainable waste management practices, and waste-to-energy technologies

  • Willingness to work on a variety of projects including permitting, planning, design, and construction services for solid waste handling facilities including transfer stations, recycling facilities, moderate risk waste facilities, landfill cells, closure systems, landfill gas and leachate control systems, coal combustion residuals, and environmental site remediation

  • Experience with project and account management tools and applications, such as pricing tools, project tracking tools, and customer account relationship tools

  • Experience with site civil design and 3-D modeling, including roadways, grading, drainage, and related technologies OR sustainable waste management planning models and tools

  • Experience writing technical reports

  • Experience with interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and managing diverse teams

  • Previous experience with a consulting firm serving municipal and solid waste clients
