Position Summary

Performs routine aspects of design and drafting and assists in developing 3D models. Works under general supervision and work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy.

  • Perform detailed drafting of plant layouts drawings (power, grounding, lighting and electric heat tracing) and associated single lines & schematics/wiring diagrams under minimum supervision

  • Perform cable sizing calculations & lighting level calculations under supervision. Assist in developing lighting & tray layouts

  • Assist in developing electrical 3D model on the PDS, Smart Plant and /or Auto-plant platform

  • Perform drafting of field mark-ups for as-built drawings

  • Assist other senior personnel at the construction/plant sites and fabrication shops during design phase

  • Assist senior designers in providing construction support for electrical systems at job site

  • Perform as-built activities at the existing operating plant for revamp projects

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from a recognized technical institute required

  • 2 - 3 years' in electrical designing and drafting using SP3D, SPEL, AutoCAD, Microstation software

  • Membership with ASET or eligible to get membership in ASET required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
