Position Summary
The position will be in Jacobs Comprimo®Sulfur Solutions group. A world leader in Sulfur, Amine and Sour Water Solutions.
Participates in the design of a process unit, including establishing process design basis, development of process options and optimization of selected design. Uses knowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform engineering and design of less complex units. Works under general supervision and work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy.
Implements, modifies, and maintains chemical processes
Calculates and organizes data for process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations
Models processes and units operations
Prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment
Develops process flow diagram to define heat and material balance
Develops process specifications such as distillation columns, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and fired heaters
Experience in relief and flare system
Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and
Qualifications
Recognized Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
5-7 years of relevant experience required
Previous experience with Sulfur Amine and/or Sour Water Stripping is required
Simulation experience with ProMax, ProTreat, Hysis is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Membership with APEGA is required
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
