Position Summary:

Experience in Telecommunication System design and specification, including the following:

  • Data transmission equipment

  • Data campus distribution switches

  • Data gateway

  • IP telephony gateway

  • Video Conferencing equipment

  • Wireless Local Area Network switch (interface)

  • Plant Fibre termination and copper distribution panels

  • Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing

  • Routers with 10G uplink/downlink ethernet interface

  • Mobile Radio system

  • GMS/ LTE/4G/5G

  • Wireless Local Area network WLAN

  • Industrial Security Systems

  • Planning, scheduling, progressing, QA/QC

  • Experience managing teams of 5 or more engineers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in telecommunications

  • Previous experience in a Lead Engineer role is required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Membership with APEGA or eligible to get membership in APEGA is required

  • Eligibility for a Professional Engineering certification is required

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
