Position Summary

  • Responsible to direct work of piping task force and supervision of production of work

  • Innovative design lead with the capability of effectively contribute into the value plus program/cost cutting ideas through optimization of plan layouts of piping design

  • Participates in reviews and/or audits of other project layouts as assigned.

  • Able to prepare an estimate (including man-hour estimates), change requests and proposal write ups and contribute to project meeting

  • Participate and lead the discussion in 3D model reviews

  • Issue design directive to the piping task force as required

  • Visiting construction sites and fabrication shops as required

Qualifications

  • Recognized Diploma in Engineering Drafting with Piping Design or equivalent is required

  • 16 yrs of extensive design experience specifically in optimizing the plant plot plans, equipment spacing, equipment stacking, high pressure and large bore pipe runs.

  • Knowledge of Pipeline Design and Piping Stress

  • Experience with modular design and design software tool (SP3D)

  • Workshare project experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
