Jacobsis seeking a qualified Information Technology (IT) professional to support theUSSOCOM SITEC II Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract. Yourcareer at Jacobs enables USSOCOM to fulfill its mission to “Provide fullycapable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to defend the United States and itsinterests and synchronize planning for global operations against terroristnetworks.” As a member of our team, you will support the vice president of theEnterprise Operations Group (EOG) as we partner with SOF military and civilianmembers to provide world-class IT services and support that connects over60,000 users around the world in the areas of software development/maintenance,network services, security, end-user computing, and test and evaluation.

Job Description

Information Technology Specialists are responsiblefor maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing personal computersystems, hardware, software, computer peripherals, network, and AV equipment.Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. Information TechnologyAssociates need critical thinking, problem-solving and customer service skills,as well as diverse experience with desktop hardware, software applications,operating systems and network connectivity. This position may be required toprovision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR and Gray) and other handheldcommunication devices (radios). The ability to terminate, test and troubleshootsecure/non-secure voice, video, data and radio frequency cable infrastructure.Provide administration of network and communications systems, including, butnot limited to Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.Require knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software and network connections.Experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment (displays,microphones, sound boards etc.)

Typical duties include:

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining desktop andlaptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers

  • Installing and configuring application and operatingsystem software and upgrades

  • Multiple device configuration including personaldevice support and configuration

  • Removing old equipment and performing data migrationto new machines

  • Installing, maintaining, and assessing current andfuture telecommunications systems and equipment

  • Installing new cable/fiber. Terminating and testingnew cable/fiber. Testing and

troubleshootingfaulty cable/fiber

  • Installing operating system software, patches, andupgrades

  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving systemhardware, software, and networking issues

  • Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoringoperating system software and hardware

  • Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance,connectivity and related network problems

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining VTCendpoints

  • Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and networkconnectivity issues

Qualifications

ClearanceRequirements: TS/SCI

EducationalRequirements: None

Certification Requirements:

  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II or higher

AND

  • CCNA OR

  • Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator

Experience Requirements:

  • At least five years of previous experience workingin IT related specialties.

Essential Functions

WorkEnvironment

  • Work will be performed inside a large facility. An insideenvironment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderatenoise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmentalconditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy and windy climates.

  • Work may include travel with the military to participate inexercises in austere conditions

  • Work assignments vary based on client requirements.

PhysicalRequirements

  • Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required.May require lifting and carrying computer equipment, boxes of supplies or filesup to 50 lbs. Extended periods ofsitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Equipmentand Machines

  • General office equipment, which includes: telephone, faxmachine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Servers,switches and other computer equipment used to support network operations.

Attendance

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established workschedule is mandatory. Shift Work may berequired to support operations. It isimportant to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.

  • Position may require night and weekend work and could includetravel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located inareas with field conditions.

  • You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war,contingency, or exercise (this includes: Contingency operations; Humanitarian or peacekeeping operations; orOther military operations or exercises designated by the Combatant Commander).This performance in support of U.S. military forces may require work indangerous or austere conditions.

  • You may be asked to continue performance during inclementweather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work

  • Position requires at least 1-year commitment. Early termination or transfer from thisposition to a CONUS location may result in wage garnishments for relocation,travel and other expenses paid by the company

Travel

  • Extended Continental and Oversees travel will berequired. May be required to attend offsite meetings. Must obtain a currentpassport and applicable visa(s) prior to arrival in country. Must maintain a current passport andapplicable visa’s in good standing.

OtherEssential Functions

  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining all requiredcertifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (ifapplicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of thecontract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result indisqualification for this position and could result in termination.

  • Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotesteamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Mustbe well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and executemultiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability tocommunicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety offoreign national, government, military and contractor personnel at all levels. Mustbe able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of theorganization.

  • Grooming and dress must not pose a safety hazard to employeesworking in the same general area.

  • The position for which you are applying for requires a USgovernment security clearance.
