Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured 2-year scheme, aiming to progress Graduates into global project leaders and problem solvers. We provide the framework, mentoring and experience, to help you maximise your skills and ambition across a variety of locations and markets. On joining our scheme in September 2023, you’ll rapidly gain knowledge of how our company works, where our motivations lie and, most importantly, where you can make innovative contributions to our projects and help us take a step towards a more connected and sustainable world.

About the opportunity

As an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Graduate you will join our Cardiff Environmental Assessment team while becoming part of a respected and ambitious company with a friendly culture, career prospects and international opportunities!

Our UK and Ireland EIA team is 150 strong, with diverse skills and experience delivering all stages of the consenting process from strategic assessment and EIA to post construction environmental monitoring. We specialise in nationally significant projects across Europe and you will be involved in innovative and inspiring projects that focus on renewable energy, sustainable transport, low carbon and nature-based solutions, as part of our Climate Response.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline, or equivalent level of experience

  • A good awareness of impact assessment types along with a good understanding of the range of environmental topics considered within SEA and EIA.

  • Awareness of the relevant stakeholders and organisations that need to be consulted for EIAs and SEAs

  • A good understanding of sustainable development, the circular economy and climate change

  • An ability to adapt and prioritise appropriately whilst working on a number of varied projects at once

  • Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply skills to the solution of real-world problems

  • A well-rounded person – have you travelled around the world? Worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us - we’re looking for people with interesting stories and experiences!

  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
