The Cardiff highways division is looking to expand its team by attracting appropriate candidates of all grades and experience to join the Lands and Orders team. The L&O team are involved in the preparation for and management of statutory process associated with the delivery of major highway projects across the UK.
We require an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our established Lands and Orders team where you will have every opportunity to make your mark and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs.
Tasks undertaken by the team include:
Landownership searches, including Public Liaison services
Land entry negotiations, including Notice to Enter procedures
Stakeholder engagement and consultation
Side Roads Order
Compulsory Purchase Orders
Objector response and rebuttal
Statement of Case
Public Local Inquiry attendance and backroom management
Expert Witness services
Land Interest and Land Acquisition
Notice to Treat and Enter and General Vesting Declaration
Surplus land disposal
Skills relevant to undertaking these tasks include:
An analytical and inquisitive mind
Attention to detail
UK major highway scheme experience
Senior level statutory process experience
Detailed Order preparation knowledge
Stakeholder engagement experience
Detailed land acquisition knowledge and experience
