We're looking for a Electrical Designer in Cary, NC (Hybrid)who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including pharmaceutical facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, Industrial (pulp and paper, chemical) facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. You’ll thrive as you perform computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for our client’s advanced facilities. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you’ll create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling, and electronic document files.
Our designers are responsible for delivery of complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads and form the core of our electrical delivery team. You’ll also be responsible for developing lighting calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations. Additionally, designers will assist in interference detection and resolution as well as ensuring proper integration with other tools. • High school graduate/GED or equivalent years of experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in design utilizing 3-D modeling / drafting
• Proficiency in Autocad
• Proficiency in Revit Design
• Knowledge and application of NEC and electrical design requirements
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Two year Associate’s Degree in relevant field
• 1-3 years’ experience in facilities design
• Exhibit integrity and the highest quality in all activities
• Self-motivated, team-focused professional
• Strong Communication Skills
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new design software
• Attention to detail
