Your Impact:
Our Energy and Power Electrical Engineers engage in a wide range of projects as part of an integrated focused team. This engineer will be responsible for working in a team environment developing energy master plans as well as construction design documents for district energy and power facilities. Our energy and power group focuses on the planning and design of district cooling, heating, power, and combined heat and power systems for a wide range of higher education, federal government and commercial campuses. Projects include central chiller plants, central hot water and steam plants along with combined cycle cogeneration plants as well as the associated distribution systems. This position provides experience working on large, diverse engineering projects that are exciting to work on!
This position includes the following key areas of work including:
Leading energy and power electrical design projects
We expect our engineers to take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the projects in conjunction with a technical team
Be responsible for the successful completion of projects from the initial planning, thru design and construction administration and field investigation tasks
Communicate technical advice and engineering reasoning to client
Engage with our clients to deliver quality projects and support our sales team with information that can lead to more work
Lead the electrical engineering work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 7 years’ experience working in a consulting engineering environment
Professional Engineering licensure
Experience developing construction documents including specifications for electrical systems
Self-starter experienced working independently while coordinating with other team members
U.S. Citizenship
Experience designing medium and low voltage power distribution systems
Familiarity with SKM PowerTools products for studies
Ability to lead the development of design packages using Revit, 3D AutoCAD or equivalent
Ideally, you'll also have:
Proficiency in Revit 3D CADD
Experience working on federal projects
