We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Buildings and Infrastructure to enhance our service offering in this sector. The successful candidate will help play a key role in the continued growth of the aviation business globally.

  • Provide technical / analytical support to major projects and lead on small to medium sized projects in areas such as forecast demand and revenue model development, operating cost performance, and route development modelling

  • Prepare technical reports for public and private sector clients

  • Provide technical supervision and guidance to staff

  • Attend client meetings and participate in the presentation of work;

  • Pro-actively develop skills both on the job and from formal training and share knowledge with colleagues; and

  • Assist in the preparation of bids and marketing

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in a numerate discipline e.g. economics, maths, business, Operational Research; buildings and Infrastructure .

  • Broad experience of the B&I sector, to include areas such as business planning, forecasting, aeronautical and commercial revenues, operating costs, regulation, strategy development, management organisation and capacity appraisal.

  • Understanding of key market trends and the ability to communicate these clearly and effectively both internally and externally;

  • Strong commercial and financial awareness, with specific appreciation of risks within the aviation sector;

  • Excellent analytical skills, a strong ability to build complex spreadsheet models, including familiarity with modelling best practice;

  • Some experience of producing high quality technical reports for public and/or private sector clients;

  • An interest in the aviation industry; and

  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team and to share ideas and expertise with team members to support ongoing learning and improvement.

Desirable:

  • A post-graduate qualification

  • Experience of building client relationships, work winning and report and proposal writing.

  • Awareness and practical experience of nbuilding and infrastructure applicable demand forecasting techniques;

  • Some previous experience of leading technical workstreams or managing projects with a large technical component; and

  • Experience in other transport related projects, e.g. rail and toll roads.
