Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a passion for engineering automated solutions to join the team on-site in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the environment is developed, configured, deployed, monitored, and managed effectively

  • Utilize modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Graylog

  • Develop automation that improves deployment speed and reliability

  • Troubleshoot, automate detection, and resolve recurring issues in testing and production environments

  • Drive projects/technical initatives and architectural/technical improvements

  • Container orchestration using Kubernetes

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive experience with modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Graylog

  • Experience with automating detection and resolution of recurring issues in production environments

  • Experience with troubleshooting issues on remote systems

  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes

  • Experience with RHEL/CentOS system administration

  • Proficiency with Git

  • Must be able to work on-site in Northern Virginia Area

  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Government security clearance

  • BA/BS Business Information Technology, BA/BS Computer Science, BA/BS Computer Engineering; or 15 years relevant technical experience
