As a Client Account Partner (CAP) you will have the opportunity to partner with client account leadership on our top clients to develop and drive sales strategy through market and industry research, leadership, communication, organization, and planning on both an account and opportunity level.

Jacobs’ CAPs exhibit strong strategic thinking, industry knowledge, business acumen, competitor knowledge and experience, and are ultimately able to translate sales strategies into client development and pursuit approaches that win projects.

You’ll be empowered to lead client account development, project positioning and pursuit leadership activities for out topic client priorities. This includes working with our account teams to:

o develop account plan(s) and support consistency in account development

o understand client business and priorities to align with Jacobs strategies

o track and develop pursuit opportunities

o support in client development and positioning activities, both internally and externally

o drive consistent sales strategies and key account messaging through proposal and interview

If you are a sales leader that is a strong collaborator and has a willingness to play several roles as an integral part of our account teams, this may be the position you’re looking for. 

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, journalism, engineering, construction, or other similar field related to our industry preferred.

  • At least 10 years of client development, and sales experience within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.

  • Experience in water/wastewater is highly desirable.

  • Ability to look at the big picture, think strategically and have excellent planning skills.

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Committed to success in support of the company’s strategic goals and profitable growth

  • Proven ability to work with people of multiple disciplines

  • Strong leader with ability to mobilize resources (people, material, support), solve problems, and work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment; ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and work under strict deadlines required.
