We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Project Engineer to grow with our team. 

We are seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager with emphasis in project controls and document control as part of a program management team for a large healthcare client in Chicago, IL. The position will report directly to the Project Controls and Contract Manager Lead, serving an array of responsibilities in support of project controls team and the onsite team, including oversight of the general contractor, architect, engineer and other owner vendors and/or subconsultant.

As a passionate industry leader, you would bring your knowledge and skills in coordinating and supporting both small and large programs. Ideally, you have worked within the realm of pre-design and pre-construction utilizing the latest in building systems and project delivery methods. With excellent communication skills, you easily maintain and strengthen the client relationship.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelors of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management or Architecture required (work experience may be considered as a substitute)

• Minimum 3 years of project controls and/or document control experience required. Specialized training or education may be substituted for part of this experience.

• Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written.

• Must possess good organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to multi-task.

• Adept at Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or

• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure

• Experience with other software, such as Bluebeam, Primavera, and e-Builder is beneficially, but not required.

• Experience working on a healthcare project is preferred.
