Jacobs Data Engineer Professional Associate in Chicago, Illinois
Provides and is responsible for Data Engineering expertise for our Digital Solutions team’s client work - Wisconsin DNR project. Rohan provides and is responsible for Data Engineering expertise for our Digital Solutions team’s internal non-client work - Dark Water project. Serves as a subject matter expert in the APEX Oracle application, providing guidance on other team members’ projects - Chicago Public Schools project. Contributes to our internal team goals of business development through networking internally through Jacobs and finding more project opportunities. Contributes to our internal team culture by setting goals for team collaboration and communication. Develops training materials relating to various data engineering/applications for client and internal reference.
More specifically:
Data Engineering: •Flow meter source data analysis. • Process and store raw source data. • Databricks workflow development and maintenance. • SQL Server database development and maintenance.
Full Stack Development: • ReactJS UI/front end development. • SQL Server database development and maintenance. • Microsoft ASP.NET Core development.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or closely related field and 3 years of work experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering or closely related occupation. In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or closely related field and 4 years of work experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering or closely related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Experience in Supply Chain & Logistics industry and understanding the supply chain needs. Data Engineering/ETL. Cloud Services (AWS). SQL. Data Analysis. Database Administration. Data Visualization. Other coding/programming languages: Python, C#.
