Our team is looking to add an experienced architect in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport. The existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team. The position will report to the Program Design Manager or his designee. This position requires the individual to be based at the airport with the program management team. The position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by one of the JV partners.

Design Review Coordinator - Position Responsibilities:

The Design Review Coordinator will be the main point of contact and coordinator for all design reviews on the program with a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

  • Supports all projects with carrying out a thorough, efficient and competent design review process with discipline leads and specialists on accordance with program guidelines

  • Provide recommendations for the technical direction to designers/engineers and contractors as necessary

  • Lead coordinator, planner and delivery of design review process

  • Identify required specialties for design review based on project scopes

  • Identify and coordinate design review staffing from internal pool of subject matter experts, schedule resources, deploy and accomplish review framework objectives

  • Document and track design review process for all ongoing projects on the program

  • Participate in the review of design documents when needed

  • Provide miscellaneous technical support as required by the program.

  • Verify projects comply with program and code requirements.

  • Review and critique inputs from multidisciplinary team, assuring quality, timeliness and appropriate follow thru of process.

  • Adhere to design schedules and review timelines for delivery of work product

  • Evaluate the Design Review Process on a regular basis and make recommendations for modifications/improvements to the process

Qualifications

  • 6 years of work experience with expertise in quality assurance and design review coordination for major projects or programs

  • Experience with design, design support and project implementation (thru commissioning) required.

  • Experience on Aviation or Airport Infrastructure and Buildings, such as Roadways, Aprons, Car Parks, Terminals, Towers, Utilities and associated works is preferred.

  • Architect with program and project management level experience in design management preferred

  • Clear understanding of the Design / CMR type delivery model

  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary project design reviews and delivery of high-quality results as value add to design review framework

  • Must have developed the following skills; highly organized, leadership, oral and written communication skills, team work, decision making, judgment, and problem solving

  • Ability to utilize computer systems as a tool to effectively manage tasks

  • Previous experience with project reviews utilizing Bluebeam software is preferred

  • Licensure as an architect is a plus
