Your Impact:
The Electrical Engineer/Technician will play an active role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates for intelligent transportation systems, highway lighting, traffic signal design, and electrical systems supporting transportation assets (movable bridges, pump stations, toll gates, reversible lanes, etc.), construction inspection, field data collection, and report writing. Anticipated start date mid-October 2022 (flexible to allow for a December 2022 Graduate).

Based in Chicago or Milwaukee, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your electrical design expertise learned at school and working on related projects. Position qualifies for the “Future of Work” work environment where you will spend time working both in the office and time working from home. You’ll work with a group of Engineers, technical experts, and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Course work related to electrical engineering, electrical systems, and low voltage communication systems.
Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) preferred
Valid driver’s license
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Minimum of 1 years related experience required (Co-operative engineering or engineering internship experience would fulfill this requirement)
Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software preferred
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Knowledge of National Electrical Code
Experience with AGI32 lighting design software
Knowledge of traffic signals and signal systems
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong time management and attention to detail
Other Essential Functions:
Some work related travel will be required. Candidate must be interested in helping to develop ITS solutions, complete street networks, and project reports. Candidate should be eager to learn, willing to take on new tasks, interact with clients, and grow professionally with Jacobs.
