As an Environmental Health and Safety Information Management (EHS IM) Specialist you’ll have the chance to support the development and implementation of Environmental Health & Safety information management (aka EIMS, EMIS, EHS IM), environmental compliance, and management solutions for our clients. You’ll develop and implement innovative environmental compliance and management solutions for our clients.
Based out of the Chicago office, you’ll contribute to the pursuit, capture, management and execution of air, water, waste and hazardous material management, compliance, and permitting projects. Working with other members of our team, you’ll be the face of Jacobs as you lead multi-discipline teams of client and consulting staff in developing enterprise environmental, health & safety information solutions. During your time with us, you will also provide onsite and remote support to assist the client in defining environmental reporting needs and solution specifications/requirements. As a team member you will be a part of our Environmental Asset services team and you will be the face of Jacobs as you support multi-discipline teams of client and consulting staff. Support the delivery of projects involving environmental strategy development, compliance assurance strategies, sustainability roadmaps and design of associated work processes. Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related degree with an environmental focus.
• Experience with software implementations in environmental compliance.
• Relevant coursework, internships, co-ops and/or work experience in environmental, health and safety management consulting.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• Task and/or project management
• Regulatory program experience: SPCC, SWPPP, Air Emissions, RCRA, EPCRA
• Environmental management software familiarity (Enablon, Sphera, Intelex, etc.)
• Experience with custom databases and customizing off-the-shelf EHS applications or custom user interfaces is preferred.
