Jacobs Project Controls Engineer Professional Intermediate in Chicago, Illinois
Assist the Deputy Program Director - Construction to manage the procurement process, including coordination with PMO Project Managers to develop contract front end specifications for final review. Procurement management and tracking of all client projects and resolving any issues as needed. Work at project locations as needed. Manage and track the overall program out to bid schedule by assisting the development of the overall bid strategy, working with the Owner’s Procurement department on issue for bids and work with Project Managers, Architects of Record to issue compliant bids. Develop/Maintain/Issue bi-weekly & monthly programmatic reports and other ad hoc reports requested by the client. Conduct weekly meetings with assigned Project Managers for tracking projects in closeout using eBuilder for open items and the project/client’s PMO web application for capturing closeout progress. Manage closeout progress on the program and follow-up with key stake holders, including GCs, Architects of Record, Project Managers, and other client contracted vendors. Actively participate in client PMO projects progress and other meetings to assist client PMO Leadership and the Deputy Program Director - Construction. Ability to independently work in e-Builder including developing reports to manage various processes and work with the project team to drive resolution. Ability to independently manage K-12 renovation projects as needed to support Deputy Program Director - Construction. Develop, provide and maintain effective communication tools, platforms and reports for various program and project schedules.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field and 3 years of work experience in Project Controls, Project Management or related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Special Skills or Other Requirements: 3 years’ of experience working on K-12 construction projects. Experience working with construction contracts and contract administration. Experience with e-Builder. Procore Certification.
