This Project Engineer post is required to support the Project Controls team on a variety of projects delivered for our Client
The candidate should have good leadership qualities, be highly motivated, well organized and capable of working within a closely knit team
Manage, analyze and report program KPIs to client, invoice management, master program schedule
development utilizing client Primavera P6 software, Preparation of spreadsheets and a wide variety of routine cost analyses, cash flow, and other cost related evaluations and other project controls duties as assigned
Effectively communicate with project management, other project leads, and the client is required
Provide technical support to Project Managers and be responsible for developing and maintaining
project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records
Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations
Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices and submittals
Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors & construction schedules
Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes
Report the status of projects to Jacobs & business / market leader
Attend client program meetings as needed
A safety leader through example, words, and compliance
Oversee construction quality assurance
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field
Minimum of 3-5 years of construction related field
Proven experience in the cost analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), status reporting development, documenting project procedures and P6 Schedule management which adheres to industry best practices
Experienced in Oracle and Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects, experience with e-Builder is a plus
Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Experienced in Microsoft Access is a plus
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
