As a Resident Engineer on our team in Chicago, IL, you’ll use your expertise working together with our technical professionals to resolve complex problems and serve our clients in the construction of major infrastructure improvements. As a member of the team, you’ll act as a liaison between engineers, our clients, contractors and stakeholders. You'll lead our project team to monitor contractor’s operations; actively manage and document on the status of the project schedule and budget; provide construction oversight; and use your experience to help to mentor your teammates with less experience. In this role, you'll also communicate with all members of the project team, and work to mitigate or eliminate project risks.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
Professional Engineers (PE) License
Engineering experience as project or team lead
Thorough working knowledge of construction engineering and document controls
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) experience
IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities (S-14) certification
Proficiency with MS Office Suite of tools, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Primavera (P6), and e-Builder
